Interlibrary Loans

If materials sought by patrons are not found in the Library’s collection, reference librarians can conduct a search for the title in other libraries and may be able to borrow the item for the patron. Searches may be conducted through OCLC, the California State Library, California county law libraries and local libraries. Borrowing privileges are governed by the lending library.

The Library also provides an Interlibrary Loan Retrieval Service program available to San Francisco attorneys and law firms.  Call the Civic Center library reference desk at (415) 554-6821 or email sflawlibrary@sfgov.org for more information.
